Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) put Danish design on the world map. Besides the many buildings and furnitures that he has designed (beautifully), he did also create some of the most beautiful Danish watchdesigns ever. His wristwatch designs are usually inspired by architectural work, sometimes replicated... to get maximum function with uncluttered beauty; timeless minimalism.
Roman, is a wristwatch that sprung from the city hall that he designed together with Erik Møller; Aarhus Rådhus (finished 1942). From the beginning it was designed without a watch tower, because Arne didn't found it adding any function – adding a tower. But, the people living in the vicinity wanted... more or less demanded, a watch tower – which had to be added. And today we can enjoy Roman, thanks to that/them.
Arne Jacobsen's watches are available for both men and women, and inte a plethora of alternative designs; lether strap och mesh bracelet... different sizes and so on. So, no matter if you just want minimalism or love beautiful design; you'll find your watch here.
